From G. Norman, J.D., L.L.M.
No one desires this reality as such. However, we once again stand at a set of cliffs, with difficult months ahead. While the Office of the Master will now be in my upstairs study, Mt. Moriah is still strong, if we work together to protect the health and safety of each other and our families.
In consultation with the Holding Company, we canceled the Communication slated to occur on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. As the Master of this lodge, I strongly agreed with, even advocated, that approach.
The lodge related elections on December 1, 2020, will still occur, ushering-in and commemorating the transition of power. Although, it will likely not undertake the usual form to which we are accustomed.
Request: With the grim nature of the months ahead, if you know of a brother suffering in these challenging times; please let the Secretary or me know. While we worked with the President of the Past Masters Association at Mt. Moriah to conduct a “phone tree” project, we can always do more.
Actions and Deliverables: As communication tools, there will soon be a supplemental newsletter letter with a review of the year as well as another Fireside Chat. The latter will honor the brothers who have fallen from the November 2019 to November 2020 term.
